Huang Junqin: Was accused of committing five crimes

 

According to the report, Huang Junqin, former board chairman of Xinhengji Group was siphoned to the Beijing Municipal Procuratorate. That meant the public security department had finished the investigation and the procuratorate would launch the review about this case to decide whether to give criminal sanctions for Huang Junqing.

Huang Junqin is the elder brother of Huang Guangyu who used to be the richest people in China. Huang Junqin was accused of committing the crimes of inside trading, contract fraud, credit fraud, bigamy and cheating on passport. If all the crimes are settled, Huang Junqin will be sentecned in prison for 20 years.

Huang Junqin was arrested for economic crimes in November 2008, soon after Huang Guangyu’s case being disclosed. Born in 1967, Huang Junqin founded Xinhengji Group, which was specialized in chain business and electronic technology trade. The company created Gome, now the largest home appliance chain in China. In 1993, Huang Junqin left Gome and put his Xinhengji Group into real estate. After ten years’ development, Xinhengji Group developed into a company with more than 1,000 employees and getting engaged in real estate, network, hi-tech, biopharma, finance and so on.
