 Former Chairman Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd (Yuchai Group) Wang Jianming was caught by Jiangyan Municipal Discipline Inspection Commission, Jiangsu Province and his connections with the outside were restricted. By the end of November Wang was under investigation by relevant authorities.
 
Wang Jianming graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 1969 and then joined in Yuchai Group. In February 1985, he was promoted to the director of this factory and became the Chairman of Yuchai Group. He had been in charge of Yuchai Group for about 20 years. With his leadership, Yuchai Group developed into the second largest diesel engine manufacturing base in China. Its productivity of the diesel engine for medium and heavy vehicles was ranked NO.2 in the world, lagging behind Isuzu from Japan. However, he left Yuchai Group in 2005 because of the different development strategies with Guangxi provincial government.
 
In December 2005, Wang became the General Manager of Yangdong Co., Ltd. Then he started large-scaled reforms in this enterprise but in vain. The company fell in the trouble of deficit.
 
Recently he was investigated to have economic problems during the reforms of Yangdong Co., Ltd. Some workers in Yangdong Co., Ltd also reported their boss's economic problems in other aspects to the relevant authorities.
