 On November 21, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued an article on its website: Lin Zuoming, former General Manager of China Aviation Industry Corporation I (CAIC I), will take position of General Manager and Party Secretary of China Aviation Industry Corporation (CAIC).
 
The CAIC was restructured by combining the CAIC I and CAIC II. The new set company was mainly specialized in air defense, conveyors, engines, helicopters, aviation study and some other aspects.
 
Lin, born in May 1957, is a legend in China's aviation industry. Young as 38 years old, he became the general manager of Chengdu Aviation Engine Corporation and three years he was transferred to Shenyang Liming Aero-Engine Group Corp and became the general manager of this company. When he took his posts, both of the enterprises were in great trouble of deficit. Lin succeeded in turning loss to profit for those enterprises. Shenyang Liming Aero-engine Group Corp used to be the enterprise having the largest deficit in China's aviation industry before Lin took his post. However, in 2001, three years after Lin's accession, this company made the sales income of 1 billion Yuan (USD 142.9 million). Lin was also named the "World Best Suppliers" by GE.
 
Lin always emphasizes that the military enterprises should conduct capitalized operation. After he took over CAIC I in June 2006, CAIC I began a series of reforms and experiments.
